This black tea was hand-picked in May 2025. The variety is "Benihomare," an Indian Assam-type tea tree.
"Benihomare" is Japan's first black tea-specific cultivar (Tea Norin No. 1), and Benihomare black tea from Kameyama is a rare black tea cultivar praised as "the first Japanese black tea to catch up with overseas black teas." Very few places currently cultivate it.

Product Details

Place approximately 3g of tea leaves into a 120cc gaiwan or teapot, pour hot water, and steep for about 10 seconds. A tip for brewing delicious tea is to thoroughly warm the tea ware with hot water beforehand, then add the tea leaves.
